WAN Server
This is the control centre of RM-MultiStore, all data transmitted from the stores is consolidated here. Once installed at head office you can look forward to global reporting, inventory control and sales analysis. WAN Server operates automatically using a built-in timer, is easy to use and includes the following functions:
- Style Colour Size Matrix for clothing and footwear retailers allows easy stock code creation. Assign a unique barcode, style, colour and size to a range of items with the same price, department, categories etc.
- Create new Stock, Staff, Customers and Suppliers in selected stores. An existing stock item from one store can be propagated to another store and you can automatically check existing barcodes in the selected stores, to ensure you will not create duplicate barcodes.
- Import Stock Items allows you to import and create new stock items from a spreadsheet, attach the default supplier, check existing barcode matches and send them to the selected stores.
- File Exchange permits head office to send and receive computer files from the stores including rosters, timesheets, spreadsheets, word documents and MYOB RetailManager export files.
- Authorised managers can remotely request the stores' sales figures by e-mail, using the Advanced Data Access feature.
- Consolidated Sales Summaries allow head office to see how the stores are performing in terms of sales, average sales, gross profit and number of sales over any period since MYOB RetailManager was first installed. A warning message will also inform you if any future dates exist, that is if a store has put their clock forward and have been trading in the future.
- Linking assumes that all items with the same barcode are the same and allows you to match or remove apparent matches of stock, staff, customers and suppliers. Therefore your barcodes do not have to be exactly the same across your chain and the reports will still give you the correct values.
- Stock Delivery permits head office to send pending orders to the store's MYOB RetailManager. When the goods arrive at the store, rather than the staff having to key all the details into the Goods Received screen, the information will already be waiting for the staff. The task of keying in the details is moved from the stores back to head office.
- Stock Transfer allows you to transfer stock between company owned stores and/or franchisees. RM-MultiStore acts as the transport system in the middle to automatically send an approved Stock Transfer to the relevant store, using your current procedure in MYOB RetailManager to transfer stock, either via a Returned Goods or a Sale to an Account.
- Mass Edits of stock, staff, customers and suppliers can be sent to any store to standardise information across the stores. This feature allows you to select a range of stock items and edit the departments, categories, custom fields, minimum or maximum quantities etc.
- Stock, Staff, Customer and Supplier Edits can be sent to any store to standardise information including barcodes and descriptions in the store's MYOB RetailManager database.
- Stock Lookup allows you to see every store's available stock on hand by searching on either the full or partial barcode or description.
- Export recreates a store's entire MYOB RetailManager database at head office. This effectively means that there is a remote copy (backup) of the store's database at head office. If you have MYOB RetailManager installed on the same computer as WAN Server you can recreate and investigate the store's database using MYOB RetailManager's tools and reporting capabilities.
- Mass Edit Pricing allows you to easily change the RRP of a range of items across your chain using various formulas. Rounding and Rounding Offset will round the RRP to the nearest user defined value.
- Backup Critical Files backs up the required system files. The head office e-mail details, settings, manual linking, audit trail history and the order in which the stores appear, will not be lost as a result of having to recreate WAN Server from a backup.
- Head Office Ordering System allows head office to create purchase orders for the stores based on stock shortages using the Minimum (Threshold) quantity and Maximum (Holding) quantity as set in each store's MYOB RetailManager database and using the quantity sold over the selected period. Items can be created within the purchase order and the resulting purchase order and newly created items will be sent to the selected stores.
